PRO-LIFE GROUP

The Pro-Life Group is a small group of parishioners who meet in the Community Centre on the 2nd Thursday of each month, (except July and August), to work for pro-life causes. Working under the auspices of LIFE (which provides caring support for mothers and mothers-to-be), and SPUC (The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children), which works on the political front, the group raises funds for these and other bodies such as Zoe's Place, (providing help and respite care for families with handicapped babies) and others, whose work is judged to improve the prospects for unborn children. We work also to raise awareness of the sanctity of human life at all stages, in accordance with the teaching of the Catholic Church. With the growing threat in recent years of legalised euthanasia, we believe we must also devote more resources to the provision of hospice care and other support for those in the last stages of life. We ask for your prayers and support for these causes.
